The South Bay alumnae
chapter is a member of South Bay Alumnae Panhellenic and
actively supports local fundraising efforts for Panhellenic
scholarships to local university women.
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
The SBAPA group once
again put on a delightful fundraiser for our scholarship
program. More than 170 guests gathered at Los Verdes
Country Club on March 28 to enjoy a salad luncheon, keynote
speech by Sandy Banks, LA Times columnist, bid on
beautiful silent auction items, and listen to past scholarship
recipients share how the scholarship helped them with their
academic goals.
It looks like we raised
more than $12,000 this year! Way to go, SBAPA!

For the
2009-2010 term, Kathy Gonzalez will be our Panhellenic
Rep and the SBAPA treasurer. Susan Truax will
be the Alternate Rep and then take over the Rep position in
2010. We have tentatively scheduled the 2010
Scholarship Benefit for March and the final date and
location will be announced soon.
